How Bayern Munich could be world beaters in the upcoming years

Bayern Munich were facing some serious challenges till the last season despite their undisputed dominance in the Bundesliga. 

The Bavarians had their last major European title in the 2013 UEFA Champions League final where they beat rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 at Wembley. 

They have been embroiled in a various number of issues which includes controversies with the managers who served at the club, departure of key players and failure to establish dominance in Europe.

Signs of Revival

At the end of the last season, the German giants let go of two of its coveted wingers, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery. Nicknamed as "Robbery", the attacking duo was always a threat for opposition defenders. 

Having lost both of them this summer, Bayern were determined to buy two world class wingers at any cost. 

They identified Nicolas Pepe of Lille, Callum Hudson Odoi of Chelsea and Leroy Sane of Manchester City as their potential replacements. They saw several bids rejected and failed to sign any of these players.

For bolstering the attack options, the reds have signed Ivan Perisic and Phillipe Coutinho on loan from Inter Milan and FC Barcelona respectively with an option to buy in the upcoming season.

But the recent displays seem that Bayern could take the pole position among the European giants. German winger Serge Gnabry has been a revelation this season as he plundered a hapless Tottenham defence by scoring four goals and making the club winning the match 7-2 in London.

Perisic, the Croatian winger, has 2 goals and an assist in his five appearances for Bayern. Elsewhere the Brazilian wizard Coutinho has finally found his golden touch in Munich after he endured a difficult spell at the Camp Nou.

In addition to some incredible attacking alternatives, Bayern made real headway by signing French defenders Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard who were vital in making France win the FIFA World Cup in Russia last year. 

This has made their defence even stronger.

A new ray of hope

Niko Kovac, who took over as Bayern's manager last season, has eliminated the prospect of being sacked for a poor string of results last season. 

The new signings have proved to be of greater significance and Kovac looks confident as ever. 

Blistering counter attacks combined with some top class defensive play, has transitioned the club in a more positive note. With a talented squad at their disposal, Bayern can be surely a world beater in the future.
