FC Goa vs Bengaluru FC: Indian Super League (ISL) Prediction

FC Goa and Bengaluru FC have been two of the top sides in the tournament for a while now. FC Goa will now be hosting Bengaluru in a high tempo Indian Super League (ISL) game at the Jawarharlal Nehru Stadium, Goa.

Goa were the table-toppers in the last season and they would hope that the form continues for them this time too. They will also become the first-ever Indian Football Club to feature in the AFC Champions League group stages when they lock horns against Asia's best in the West Zone.

The club signed Jorge Ortiz, Ivan Gonzalez, Igor Angulo, and James Donachie who will be some of the main personalities for the upcoming seasons. The manager is known to keep more of a tactical approach and the Gaurs will hope that his tactics fit properly in the system.

Bengaluru on the other hand, have retained a lot of their players who were handed long-term contracts in order to keep all the vital players committed to the club.

FC Goa have a dominant record against a lot of ISL teams but things have certainly not been the same way against Bengaluru.

FC Goa last won against Bengaluru in the 2017-18 season when Bengaluru made their debut in the ISL season.

The two have faced each other seven times, with the Gaurs winning only ones while the Blues have been victorious five times and one has been drawn.

Prediction: 

Bengaluru have a squad that have more chemistry among them as they have played with each several times last season.

The battle between the 2018 and winners and the 2019 winners is expected to be a strong one despite the experience gap.
