Chelsea offered the services of this Tottenham target!
Premier League giants Chelsea have been offered the chance to hijack Tottenham's deal for out of favour AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek as per reports in Italy.
Spurs are keen on signing the Polish hitman as they look for someone who can fill in for injured Harry Kane but Chelsea could scupper the deal.
Spurs had started talks with Real Sociedad over their striker Willian Jose but a deal failed to materialize. And, that has made them revert back to their former target Piatek.
However, Piatek's agent has offered his client to Chelsea in a bid to make certain of a Premier League move, according to reports in Italy.
Other reports claim the Italian giants want around £25million for the 24-year-old but Tottenham are not willing to pay that much for the out of form striker.
They are said to prefer a six-month loan with an option to buy but Milan are not willing to loan him out.
Having forked out £29.5m to land Piatek from Genoa last January, the cash-strapped San Siro outfit want to recoup the cash now.
Milan would reportedly accept a loan with an obligation to buy but not an option. This is why Spurs are hesitant.
Spurs still appear to be in pole position to land the striker. However, if Olivier Giroud's proposed move from Stamford Bridge to Inter Milan goes through, Chelsea may make a move for the 24-year-old.
It is reported that the 33-year-old World cup winner has already agreed personal terms with Inter. However, the two clubs are yet to agree on a fee.
Chelsea's £4million valuation remains the only stumbling block for the deal as Inter are unwilling to spend that much for a player who would be available for free in the summer.
Chelsea have a record of hijacking Spurs target. The most famous one still remains Willian, whom they signed from under the noses of Spurs back in 2013.
Meanwhile, Willian is strongly linked with a move to Spurs in the summer after rejecting them seven years ago as Jose Mourinho remains keen on a reunion with his favourite.
