5 top PL stars who could leave their clubs at the end of the season

Although the Premier League season has been suspended currently, few top stars are set for an exit at the end of the season. Here are the top five such footballers.

Paul Pogba

The Manchester United midfielder has struggled with his ankle injury and made just seven appearances in Premier League this season. He had hinted in 2019 that his stint with United was nearing an end, as he wants a new challenge somewhere.

United had even rejected a Real Madrid bid of £27.6 million plus James Rodríguez in July last season. They are now desperate to offload Pogba and have even lowered his asking price.

Real are still in Pogba race, but Juventus are also in the queue. Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola even had a war of words with United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about Pogba’s move to Juventus. And it has left Solskjaer and United management displeased.

Willian

The Chelsea star runs out of contract at the end of the season. And he is unable to negotiate a new deal with the Blues.

He wants a three-year extension but Chelsea are offering just a two-year deal. He wishes to stay in PL, and has been linked with a move to Spurs. However, he has not ruled himself out of other leagues as well.

Mesut Ozil

The Arsenal star has found a second leash of life under Mikel Arteta in the Premier League. But he still has to fight for his place in the first XI.

His contract ends in 2021, but Arsenal would look to offload him due to his high wages. However, Ozil’s agent has said he would like to stay till his contract runs down.

But considering the economic crisis, Arsenal would struggle to get a good price for Ozil, although they would be keen to offload him in the next transfer window.

Olivier Giroud

The Chelsea forward was linked with a move to Inter Milan in January, but the deal failed to materialize. He had lost place in the Premier League first-team squad due to the rise of Tammy Abraham. However, the injury lay-off to Abraham paved the way for Giroud to make a return to first-team squad.

And he made immediate impression. He said he will be committed to Chelsea as long as he stays at Stamford Bridge. But he is likely to move away in the next transfer window if Inter make a bid again.

Harry Kane

Kane has specifically said he wouldn’t stay at Tottenham just for the sake of it. He said he wants to win titles and be the best player in the world, and if that means moving away from Spurs, so be it.

Juventus, Real Madrid and the Manchester clubs are keen to sign him. However, Spurs have hiked his transfer fee to £200 million to ward off interest from suitors.
