Manchester United keep their tabs on this PSG wonderkid

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made contact with Paris Saint-Germain youngster Eric-Junior Dina Ebimbe, according to reports in England.

The Red Devils want the 19-year-old to be signed next summer as the Norwegian looks to add more young blood to his side.

The young central midfielder has impressed during his loan spell with Ligue 2 side Le Havre.

The French outfit have given him 18 starts out of 20 league games this season which replicates their confidence in the wonderkid.

The French prodigy still has to play out 12 months with Le Havre, if they can win promotion to Ligue 1- as per his current agreement.

It may cause issues for the Red Devils who are hoping to sign him at the end of the season.

Solskjaer is still being backed by the Manchester United board and would be given the cash for up to six new players and the chance to save his job.

It may take at least two transfer windows for him to build the squad that the club and the fans are desperately craving for. And, it seems that the board is happy to allow Solskjaer the time.

The Red Devils' latest blow came at the hands of Burnley on Wednesday as they lost 2-0 to the Clarets.

Old Trafford was half empty by the time the referee blew the final whistle. Solskjaer has now lost more games than he has won since being appointed full-time manager and finds himself in the middle of a huge crisis.

The Red Devils sit fifth in the table, however, and are six points adrift of Chelsea who are holding the final Champions League spot.

The Red Devils are desperate to sign a striker following the serious back injury to Marcus Rashford. They are keeping close tabs on PSG's Edinson Cavani, who could cost up to £66million in fees and wages.

They also have a strong interest in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. However, it seems unlikely that they could beat Barclona for the signature of the 22-year-old Argentine, who have identified him as the successor of Luis Suarez.
